Monitoring Bullying

We regularly monitor types and rates of patterns of bullying to help identify barriers to learning.

  • Our Anti-Bullying Policy is clearly accessible via the school website and is regularly shared with all staff. It is embedded into staff induction to ensure all colleagues understand expectations and procedures. This supports a consistent and preventative approach to managing behaviour and promoting respect.
  • We maintain detailed records of bullying incidents, including type, frequency, and outcomes. This data is regularly analysed to identify patterns and inform targeted interventions. Our approach ensures that bullying is not tolerated and is dealt with swiftly and effectively.
  • We provide regular opportunities for parents and carers to share their views through forums and surveys. Feedback is reviewed and responded to promptly, helping to build trust and a shared commitment to pupil wellbeing.
  • Pupils are actively involved in shaping our anti-bullying approach. Through school council discussions, focus groups, and anonymous surveys, students contribute to policy reviews and help identify areas for improvement. Their insights ensure that our strategies remain relevant and responsive to their lived experiences.
  • New staff receive dedicated training on the Anti-Bullying Policy, and all staff are kept up to date with any changes.
  • The Anti-Bullying Policy is reviewed annually by senior leaders to ensure it reflects current best practice and emerging trends. Leaders use data and stakeholder feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of the policy and make improvements where needed.
  • We evaluate the impact of our anti-bullying strategies through a combination of incident data, pupil and parent surveys, and staff feedback. Recent analysis shows a reduction in repeat incidents and increased pupil confidence in reporting concerns. These findings inform our ongoing improvement planning.
