Removing Barriers
Our practitioners have a secure understanding of how a range of factors can inhibit learners’ ability to learn and how best to overcome them.
All staff actively develop their knowledge of SEND and take ownership of their professional learning to provide effective, inclusive support.
Our whole school systems enable teachers to quickly and consistently access personalised plans outlining pupil needs and strengths and strategies to support.
Practitioners are attuned to a range of external factors that may affect a learner’s engagement and progress, such as sensory sensitivities (e.g. noise and lighting), bereavement, or changes in family circumstances.
They also recognise intrinsic factors that can influence learning, including working memory challenges, attention and listening difficulties, and sensory impairments.
