Graduated Approach

We follow a regular cycle of the graduated approach (Assess, Plan, Do, Review) to ensure learners with SEND make sustained progress.

  • Our Individual Provision Maps (IPMs), or equivalent documents, outline learners’ strengths, barriers, and reasonable adjustments. These are co-produced with parents and carers.

  • Our practitioners are aware of learners’ starting points, enabling expected progress to be clearly measured and supported.

  • Learners are given regular opportunities to reflect on their learning and contribute to setting their next steps.

  • We routinely review targeted provision and interventions to evaluate their impact. Parents and carers are actively involved in reviewing the effectiveness of provision and shaping future support.
