Belonging
Every child and young person in our setting has the opportunity to be involved and heard.
- Our learners are given structured opportunities to share their views, understand their strengths and barriers, and identify strategies to support their progress. For example, through pupil voice activities, one-to-one discussions, and learning journals.
- Parents and carers are informed of their child’s strengths, special educational needs, and the provision in place to support them, including any interventions. This is achieved through review meetings, written reports, and digital communication platforms.
- We involve parents and learners in reviewing progress and co-developing provision. This includes termly review meetings for pupils receiving SEND Support, shared goal setting, and feedback forms.
- We balance communication to ensure it is timely, sensitive to individual needs, and fosters effective engagement. This includes using school messaging apps, email, and scheduled phone calls.
- We provide opportunities for parents to share successful strategies used at home and school to ensure a consistent approach. This is facilitated through parent workshops, shared planning documents, and informal discussions.
