Adjust the pace of learning to allow time for clarification and reinforcement, especially during movement-based activities. This supports understanding and reduces cognitive overload, helping the learner to process and retain information more effectively.
Deploy class support to deliver modified curriculum tasks through pre- and post-teaching. This reinforces key concepts and ensures the learner can access the curriculum in a meaningful and manageable way.
Provide high-quality equipment and resources as recommended by the sensory teams, and ensure staff are trained to troubleshoot. This promotes consistent access to learning tools and reduces disruptions caused by technical issues.
Monitor the learner’s progress using approaches recommended by the sensory teams. This ensures that support remains targeted and responsive to the learner’s evolving needs.
